You guys. I’m half way through this National Blog Posting Month (NaBloPoMo). Not that I’m counting. To celebrate, today’s post is going to be a picture. It kind of feels like cheating, but I’m giving myself permission to be okay with that. And hope you’ll forgive me. Besides, I’m too distracted to write any real words, because Forrest Gump is on TV right now. One of my all time favorite movies. So there’s that.
Anyhoo…here is my picture, my post for today.
The is inspiration behind so much of what I write about. This picture is from a few days after he was born. A little over twelve years ago. He was born almost six weeks premature at 4 lbs and 10 ounces. Yet, with fully mature lungs and an ability to eat and breathe on his own, he came home from the hospital with me, three days later, at 4 lbs, 4 oz.
Really, this was a sign. He’s a fighter this kid. With a personality bigger than life. If you’ve read any of my posts about his struggles with mental illness, you’ll know this already. If not, meet my son. My inspiration.
The kid that holds my heart and shows me how to live. Meet my son, Noah.
