Y’all. I’m exhausted, emotionally and physically from learning ALL THE THINGS at the Storyline Conference. The best way to characterize what I heard and learned the last several days is this: Life Lessons.
There’s just so much goodness that was had there. Just like moving into a new house, I’m still breaking it down and unpacking it all. This takes time, and the dissemination of learned information is probably going to be an ongoing process. But why not share some of the more obvious life lessons that seemed to be surrounded by flashing lights? And in coming days and weeks, I’ll continue to share more, but will also unpack and break it down further for you.
10 Life Lessons from Storyline – Part One
- If we want to live a great life story, we need to figure out who we are, what we want, how we get there, and the obstacles we may face along the way
- Sitting in a room with so many creative and spiritual people is a beautiful blessing. Instant community. I found my tribe, y’all. I. found. my. tribe.
- Bob Goff is perhaps one of the coolest, most hilarious, caring, compassionate and best examples of living a most amazing life story built on love. If you haven’t read his book, Love Does, you must.
- “Become a creator of your life, not a consumer.” Wise, wise words from Don Miller. What else could or should I add to that? Nothing.
- Life changing question: How many of us are being spoon fed what we ‘want’ and just going about life hypnotized and following a routine. What are you doing in your life that has been actually spoon fed to you?
- We need to stop reacting to our life, and start planning it. Go.
- Removing the clutter and noise out of your life will provide you a clearer life, one that makes sense. Seems obvious, right?
- Are you just looking at a menu of life’s choices and picking from it? Wouldn’t you rather make your own list of life’s choices and pick from that?
- God is the author of our life, but so are we. Consider us co-authors. We have responsibility in the process of our life’s design.
- We need to spend more time swimming out past the breakers and live life a little more scared.
Come back tomorrow my friends…there are more great things to share.
Let’s write a better story!
