This.
This picture is about breaking myths and stereotypes. This picture is about showing that a woman who lifts weights and even competes doing so, isn’t just a ‘certain type’ of girl.
This is about a girl who can be both feminine AND strong.
This is about a girl who can be both nice AND fierce.
This is about a girl who can lift others up AND lift weights.
This is about a girl who has lived both small AND large, quiet AND loud, gentle AND with force.
This is about a girl who can cry AND grunt, glisten AND sweat, jiggle AND flex.
This is about a girl who can be vulnerable AND confident.
This is about a girl who wants to both change her hair AND change the world.
This is about a girl who can fall AND rise.
This is a girl who can climb both corporate ladders AND actual mountains.
This is about a girl who can.
This girl CAN.
I wrote this post as a reminder to myself, and to others, for those days when we feel less than. For those days we feel we can’t, don’t want to, aren’t capable. For those days when that little unwelcome voice tries to take us down and gets louder in our heads.
We all have those days. And sometimes, those days creep into weeks, and months and even years. But we will not fall. We will not listen to it.
We can, ladies. We can do great things. And we WILL.

Amazing post. Yes you can be all of those things and still the wonderful, loving, caring person that you are. Love and encouragement coming your way from St Paul.
