When things get hard, it’s what we do. Right? We run.
When things hurt too much, we run.
When we are afraid, we run.
When we listen to the voices in our heads that tell us we aren’t enough, we run.
When our hearts are broken, we run.
When someone breaks our trust, we run.
But the thing is, no matter where we run, the hurt, fear, voices, broken heart and distrust run right along with us.
Wherever we go, there we are. With all of it. So instead of running, we must pause. And stare it all straight in the eye. Love it. Hug it. Face it. Welcome it. Learn from it. And walk with it, knowing that because of it, we become stronger versions of ourselves.
